Greek Sundials of Epirus

Babylonians and Egyptians built sundials, while it is believed that Anaximander is one of the first to have built the Greek sundial. He is also credited with setting up a seasonal sundial in Sparta ANAXIMANDER'S SPARTAN SUNDIAL

In Epirus, Sundials with Greek inscriptions, are found on the outskirts of Berati, Dimali a Greek city, that later became a Roman protectorate.

Albanians, with a very developed fantasy, claim that the word Dimali means “two mountains (dy male-in Albanian). They were trained to say lies because the Albanian historians lied in order to deny the Greek history of North Epirus.

The word Dimali comes from the Greek word μαλλός and it means double fleece (or double sheep skin).

In Greek Mythology, there is the story of Chrysomallos.

Legend of the Golden Fleece was REAL: Greek myth originated near the Black Sea where miners used sheepskin to filter gold from mountain streams, geologists claim

According to Hammond, N. G. L. article "The Illyrian Atintani, the Epirotic Atintanes, and the Roman Protectorate", Dimale, was possibly founded by King Pyrrhus of Epirus, or by settlers from the nearby Greek colony of Apollonia.

The Albanian researcher below, calls people of Dimali Greek only once, (on page 104) and then goes on to call everything Illyrian. However, he shows the Greek inscriptions in Dimali, but doesn’t show the pictures of the sundials found there.
