The population of Piana was of Greek descent (Piana kishte Popullsi Greke)
The British who founded Albania acknowledge that the Albanians who relocated to Italy were actually of Greek ancestry and spoke a Greek dialect rather than Albanian. Albanians do not have Greek ancestry. These were the Epirotes. Later, they all lied alongside Italians. There are no Albanian businesses, schools, or burials in Italy. Italy was where the Epirotes relocated during the Turkish invasion.

US Magazine Saturday Review writes: "Albanians appeared in the middle of the 15th century...As the Albanians were very few and of somewhat ill reputation, they may be eliminated, together with the Spaniards, when we inquire into the origin of Sicilian nationality".
Revista Amerikane Saturday Review shkruan: "Shqiptarët u shfaqën në mesin e shekullit të 15-të... Meqenëse Shqiptarët ishin shumë të pakët dhe me reputacion disi të keq, ata mund të jene eliminuar, së bashku me Spanjollët, kur hetojmë origjinën e kombësisë Siciliane".
In 1949, two Italian filmmakers, Primo Zeglio and Rino Filippino, created a documentary about the Greek Levantine inhabitants of Piana dei Greci, Sicily. The documentary was approved by the Council of Ministers and the Italian State. Albanians could not have lived in Piana dei Greci because they are not Levantine.
Në vitin 1949, dy regjisorë italianë, Primo Zeglio dhe Rino Filippino, krijuan një dokumentar rreth banorëve Grekë Levantinë të Piana dei Greci, Siçili. Dokumentari u miratua nga Këshilli i Ministrave dhe Shteti Italian. Shqiptarët nuk mund të kenë jetuar në Piana dei Greci sepse nuk janë Levantinë.
Demetrio Camarda a Greek from Piana dei Greci, quoting Fallmeyer, a German historian, writes that: "From these words Fallmerayer argued that the Albanians of Greece should be considered, in general, as having first come from the centre of ancient Chaonia, or from the surrounding regions". Albanians did not live in Chaonia. Chaonia is the region of Epirotes.
Demetrio Camarda, një Grek nga Piana dei Greci, duke cituar Fallmeyer, një historian Gjerman, shkruan: "Nga këto fjalë, Fallmerayer argumentoi se Shqiptarët e Greqisë duhet të konsiderohen, në përgjithësi, si të ardhur fillimisht nga qendra e Kaonisë së lashtë, ose nga rajonet përreth".
Shqiptarët nuk jetonin në Kaoni. Kaonia është rajoni i Epirotëve. Kjo tregon qe Epirotet shkuan ne Piana jo Shqiptaret.
British Royal Navy Officer William Henry Smith who has written many dictionaries, writes that Piana Dei Greci was a Greek colony in the slopes of Mount Pizzuto. He doesn't mention Albanians at all.
Oficeri i Marinës Mbretërore Britanike, William Henry Smith, i cili ka shkruar shumë fjalorë, shkruan se Piana Dei Greci ishte një koloni Greke në shpatet e malit Pizzuto. Ai nuk i përmend fare Shqiptarët.
The author of this 1889 book about Sicily and Malta wrote: "Piana dei Greci, on the eastern slopes of Monte Pizzuto." After being vanquished by Amurat II's Turks in 1480, the Greeks of Albania chose exile over foreign rule, and colonies arrived in Sicily. The earliest of them established the settlement of Greci underneath Etna under the protection of the Count of Aderno (see page 103). Others established at the hamlet of Merco, which is today Piana dei Greci..."
Autori i këtij libri të vitit 1889 për Siçilinë dhe Maltën shkroi: "Piana dei Greci, në shpatet lindore të Monte Pizzuto". Pasi u mundën nga Turqit e Amuratit II në vitin 1480, Grekët e Shqipërisë zgjodhën mërgimin në vend të sundimit të huaj dhe kolonitë mbërritën në Siçili. Më të parët prej tyre themeluan vendbanimin e Grecit poshtë Etnës nën mbrojtjen e Kontit të Adernos (shih faqen 103). Të tjerë u vendosën në fshatin Merco, i cili tani është Piana dei Greci..."
Grekët nuk janë Shqiptarë. Këta janë Epirotët per te cilet ai shkruan.

According to the British author of Sunny Sicily, "Albanians" arrived in Sicily from Greece at the Piana dei Greci, and they also dressed like Greeks. During the Turkish invasion, Albanians did not go from Greece to Sicily. Epirotes was the ones. Given that Epirus is situated in Northern Greece.
Sipas autorit Britanik të librit "Sunny Sicily", "Shqiptarët" mbërritën në Siçili nga Greqia në Piana dei Greci dhe u veshën gjithashtu si Grekë. Gjatë pushtimit Turk, Shqiptarët nuk shkuan nga Greqia në Siçili. Ishin Epirotët ata qe shkuan ne Itali dhe luftuan per Italine. Duke qenë se Epiri ndodhet në Greqinë Veriore. Shqiptaret luftuan per Turqit.
At Piana dei Greci there are no Albanian graves but Greek graves. Nuk ka varre Shqiptare tek Piana por vertem Greke.
Sipas të dhënave zyrtare nga Shteti i Italisë, e gjithë Piana ishte Greke, jo Shqiptare, dhe emrat e banorëve atje ishin Grekë në vitin 1917.
