Greek Epirotes and Greek Macedonians - Part of Dorica Castra

Virgil (Publius Vergilius Maro) the Roman poet who believed that Romans were to civilize the world, called the Dorian Race- Dorica Castra, the camp of the Greeks.

Virgilius writes: "To see the camp of the Greeks [Dorica castra]. This consonance is not at all a beauty, as it is said in the remarks of Desfontaines..."

Virgilius continues: "The Dorians, descendants of Dorus, one of the grandsons of Deucalion, first occupied Doride, the region of Thessalie, who retained their name; but then they spread out throughout Greece, and made various establishments there.."

Virgil clarifies the "Dorica Castra" term: "prouniversis Graecorum Castris" (for the whole universe Greek Camp (race).

He mentioned this in his famous book The Aeneid

Many other authors reference Virgil and his quote about the Dorica Castra. Wells, Eduard a Geographer Mathematician and a Theologian who studied Greek culture thoroughly, also references Virgil.

David Ruhnken,a Dutch classical scholar, born in Pommern; studied at University of Wittenberg. He studied classical Greek. He agrees that Dorica Castra is nothing but the Greek Race. He says that Dores are seen as Greeks and refers to Virgil.

The word castra means Castle. From Greek κάστρο and Latin Castrum adopted from Greek.  Greek Castles
