Leon Heuzey was a French archeologist. He was Head of Musee du Louvre’s Department of Oriental Antiquities and Ancient Ceramics He was the one who initiated the excavations at the site of Aigai, today called Vergina .
He went to the site of Palatitsa and the site of Koutles and photographed ancient Hellenic ruins.
