Albanians did not know about Polyphony until 20th century- Shqiptarët nuk dinin për polifoninë deri në shekullin e 20-të.
Polyphony is a Greek word. Albanians borrowed this word from the Greeks. We have to consider all the instruments employed to produce a wide range of sounds when we discuss polyphony: pipes, flutes, harps, and lutes. Egyptians employed them all. All these instruments are discovered at the Pyramids of Egypt.
